Indemnity, Release, and Consent Clause
By registering for membership with the Singapore Table Tennis Association (“STTA”) and/or participating in any activities, events, programs, tournaments, or by using the training and sports halls organized, managed, or sanctioned by STTA:
1. Assumption of Risk & Release from Liability
I acknowledge and accept that participation in sporting and related activities involves inherent risks, including but not limited to the risk of mishaps, injuries, loss of life, or damage to property. I hereby release, discharge, and agree not to hold STTA, its affiliates, appointed staff, officials, representatives, and volunteers liable or responsible for any such incidents arising from or in connection with my participation, except where caused by proven gross negligence or willful misconduct.
2. Indemnity
I agree to indemnify and hold harmless STTA, its affiliates, appointed staff, officials, representatives, and volunteers from and against any and all actions, claims, proceedings, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including legal fees) brought by any person, arising directly or indirectly out of or in connection with my participation.
3. Media Consent
I grant STTA and its affiliates irrevocable, worldwide, and unrestricted permission to photograph, film, and/or record my likeness, voice, and/or performance during such activities. I further grant STTA the right to use, reproduce, publish, broadcast, and distribute such materials, in whole or in part, in any form or media (whether existing now or developed in the future), including but not limited to promotional materials, publications, websites, social media platforms, and advertisements, without further notice, approval, or compensation to me.
4. Waiver of Claims Related to Media Use
I agree not to assert or pursue any claims, demands, or actions against STTA, its affiliates, employees, representatives, or volunteers arising out of or in connection with the use of such materials, including but not limited to claims of defamation, invasion of privacy, violation of publicity rights, or any similar claims.
5. Acknowledgment
I confirm that I have carefully read, fully understood, and voluntarily agree to the terms of this Indemnity, Release, and Consent Clause as a condition of my membership and/or participation.
