Membership

Individual Membership

  • Individual Membership is open to all individuals above 5 years of age who are Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents and willing to observe the rules and regulations of the S.T.T.A as the governing body for the sport of table tennis in Singapore.

There are 3 types of Individual Membership:

A) Individual Membership (Athletes)
  1. Eligibility to join STTA organised/co-organised tournaments. *Tournament rules apply.
  2. Eligibility to join STTA athlete pathway development programmes:  such as Zone training centres, Junior Development Squad, Youth Training Squad, Intermediate Squad and National Team.  *Applicable to Singaporeans only and subject to applicable STTA selection policies which are revised from time to time.
B) Individual Membership (Technical Officials)
  1. To enjoy subsidised rates for STTA Umpire/ Technical Courses. *Eligibility criteria apply.
  2. Eligible to represent Singapore as a technical delegate/ official in overseas events/tournaments/ courses approved by STTA. *Eligibility criteria
  3. All members are to achieve at least the STTA National Umpire course
C) Individual Membership (Coaches)
  1. Eligible to provide coaching at STTA organised/ co-organised tournaments/ events.
  2. All coaches are NROC Certified
  3. Acknowledged on STTA website  *Eligibility criteria apply.
  4. To enjoy subsidised rates for STTA Coaching Courses (Level 2 And above and CCE workshops). *Eligibility criteria apply.

Ordinary Membership

A) Ordinary Membership is open to all organisations, clubs, associations, Government Ministries, Statutory Boards, institutions, schools and table tennis teams that are not eligible for Full Membership and willing to observe the rules and regulations of the S.T.T.A as the governing body for the sport of table tennis in Singapore.

B) Ordinary Members shall have no voting rights.

Ordinary Members:

  1. To be acknowledged on STTA website
  2. No voting rights
  3. Enjoys subsidised rental fees for STTA training hall/ equipmentReceive regular updates from STTA
  4. Invitation to attend local tournaments co-organised/ organised by STTA in Singapore.
  5. Recognition of table tennis event: Each sanctioned table tennis event is listed and promoted through STTA social media platforms at no charge so long as the event is sanctioned by STTA. *Eligibility criteria apply and the application is subject to STTA’s approval. STTA event sanction policy.

Full
Membership

A) Full Membership is open to clubs and associations registered with the Registry of Societies or the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority, Community Sports Clubs under the People’s Association, Institutions of Higher Learning, Government Ministries and Statutory Boards or such affiliates to the organisations that are willing to observe the rules and regulations of the S.T.T.A as the governing body for the sport of table tennis in Singapore.

B) Full Members must have on-going table tennis training and development programmes with 20 or more participants and/or registered at least 20 or more participants for table tennis competitions, programmes and/or courses within the last 24 months, and must provide the relevant proof when applying for or renewing their membership.

Full members:

  1. To be acknowledged on STTA website
  2. Has voting right
  3. Delegate can attend the STTA Annual General Meetings (AGM)
  4. Delegate can nominate and/or stand for election
  5. Enjoys subsidised rental fees for STTA training hall/ equipment
  6. Receive regular updates from STTA
  7. Invitation to attend local tournaments co-organised /organised by STTA in Singapore.
  8. Recognition of table tennis event: Each sanctioned table tennis event is listed and promoted through STTA social media platforms at no charge so long as the event is sanctioned by STTA. *Eligibility criteria apply and the application is subject to STTA’s approval. . STTA event sanction policy.
